Flashing message light on the Mitel phone

Tue 8/16/2016 12:20 PM

Dear users:

We have noticed that some of your phone handsets are continuously displaying flashing light, even though there is no message waiting in the voicemail box. There is a simple fix to that glitch:

Please press the message button on the right of the console (on the right hand side of your telephone), then press the star key. You may have to repeat the combination twice or so to clear the flashing. If you still need help, please send a ticket to helpdesk@marin.edu.

Best regards,

In a continuous effort to improve the District’s voice systems, the IT Department has embarked in a large multi-phase modernization project.  Despite our planning, glitches, outages, and disruption of services have occurred and may still happen. We promise to keep these disruptions to the minimum and we beg for your patience and understanding as go through this transition.

Upcoming events: the Carriers (AT&T and Telepacific) will be moving our connectivity from PRI to SIP (newer technology). We expect no more than couple minutes of the telephone service disruption. The schedule is as followed:
Novato IVC:  Tuesday August 9th at 3:00 PM
Kentfield KTD: Friday August 26th at 3:00PM

Best regards,
